Critique of a Research Article – Due on April 16, 2021
Before you start to write your critique, submit your article to me for approval. Your article must have data (tables, charts or graphs), and must be published after January 1, 2021. The critique must have 1” margins on all sides, 12-font, double-spaced, and average of 2 pages. If two or more students submitted the same research article, only the first student who submitted it to me for pre-approval may use the article. You may access articles from our library’s databases at https:library/library-resources/databases/library-databases-title, and choose Academic Search Premier or other databases.
Identify the following six items (use the same numerical sequence):
What is the hypothesis of your article? What is the corresponding Null Hypothesis?
What are the major independent and dependent variables?
Describe the subject population (use your own words).
Using your own words, describe the research methodology (i.e., how did they conduct their research?
Describe the results of the study (use your own words).
Using your own words, what is the practical implication of their research, if any?
Attach a full copy of your article when you submit your critique. Submit your critique in Blackboard. Please use your school email when emailing me because if you use your personal email, it might wind up in my spam folder which I do not check.
DO NOT SUBMIT A SUMMURY OR NARRATIVE OF THE RESEARCH ARTICLE.
Your critique should look like the following:
